Whitecode Design Associates is thrilled to announce it has reconfirmed its commitment to the Armed Forces Covenant. Part of the government’s pledge to helping the military community, the Armed Forces Covenant is an organisation that works with the community and their families to ensure they are all treated fairly. With close ties to the forces, Whitecode is to continue to be part of the nation’s promise to continually support those who have served.
Introduced in 2000, ‘The Covenant’ is a respected body known throughout the forces, offering safeguarding, rewards and relevant compensation for military personnel who put their lives on the line for our country’s security. Recognised by the Crown, the ‘Military Covenant’ aims to ensure no military personnel are disadvantaged by their service, receiving approved support in terms of health, housing, education, family wellbeing and in some cases financial assistance.
Alex Hill, Managing Director at Whitecode, explains why it was important for Whitecode to continue to play its part in supporting this great cause. “Having spent may years working with the Armed Forces personnel, I know what an asset their skills and self-discipline can bring to any business, that’s why I wanted Whitecode to continue to be a forces friendly employer and am proud to reaffirm our commitment”
As a supporter of the Covenant, Whitecode is eligible for the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme (ERS) Bronze award. This scheme encourages employers to inspire fellow companies to demonstrate and advocate support for the armed forces community.
