Daylight and Sunlight Analysis
Whitecode Design have carried out Daylight and Sunlight Analysis for multiple building uses, including schools, commercial buildings and residential units. Using Integrated Environmental Solutions Virtual Environment (IES VE) software we are able to carry out advanced or simple calculations, depending on the building type and what standards/regulations are to be used. Therefore, we are able to meet the Client’s needs and can provide accurate results relevant to the development being assessed.
Whitecode Design Associates Ltd use Integrated Environmental Solutions Virtual Environment (IES VE) software to carry out the daylight analysis. This allows a 3D model to be built of the development being assessed, taking into account the glazing specification and any shading from local obstructions, such as balconies and surrounding buildings.
Depending on the standards or regulations being used to carry out the assessment (Code for Sustainable Homes, educational buildings standards etc.), advanced or simple calculations can be carried out using the IES VE software.
This means Whitecode are able to meet the Client’s needs and can provide accurate results relevant to the development being assessed.
As daylighting calculations for new-build developments are completed from architectural plans, sections and elevations, Whitecode are able to carry out these works across the country. We have carried out assessments for developments located in and around London.
