Fulham Wharf – London
Fulham Wharf is a landmark regeneration scheme being delivered by Barratt West London providing a brand new supermarket and new homes. Planning permission was granted in March 2012 and demolition works will commence shortly. In addition to housing and a supermarket, it will include restaurants, cafes and bars, a crèche, a gym, landscaped gardens, a riverside walk and the use of a jetty to create an ecological area for riverside wildlife.
Initially brought onto the project to scrutinise the existing services and provide due diligence on the existing reports and drawings submitted for planning, Whitecode were then employed to continue the design through to construction stage including various services including BREEAM assessments, fire strategies and complex services diversions negotiations. Coordination with the design team is carried out using Revit software to ensure the highest level of coordination is achieved with minimal site level design coordination required. The M&E services designed included an energy centre utilising two CHP engines with thermal storage, comfort cooling, home automation, Photovoltaic design, wet risers and commercial and domestic sprinklers.
